Oh yeah, time to take it to the limit once again this Tuesday in celebration of having survived yet another Monday. Virtual high fives all around! The Rack at Sugarloaf welcomes local singer-songwriter Ron Bergeron to the stage this Tuesday evening. Ron will be serving up tons of tunes starting at 7 including covers of The Beatles, Stones, Queen, Elvis, The Boss, Tom Petty, Paul Simon and maybe even a little Lady Gaga. So if you’re hanging on the mountain this evening, swing through and enjoy some tunes.
Three talented singer-songwriters from right here in Portland will be teaming up for an evening of stories and song as Max Garcia Conover, Griffin Sherry and Max Davis converge upon the stage of Blue tonight for a show featuring their original roots, Americana and folk compositions. Join these fellas for some fun starting at 6 o’clock.
Local singer-songwriter Justin Walton will be performing some acoustic tunes during a free show at Andy’s Old Port Pub on Commercial Street this Monday evening. Enjoy some great music, local brews and delicious food as things get started up at 7 o’clock.
Check out some free roots rock tunes at Gritty’s in the Old Port tonight where local musician Travis James Humphrey returns to play a solo set of tunes. Humphrey will be doing his thing starting right around 9.
Flask Lounge in Portland presents another open mic night for DJs this Tuesday. Tonight’s event allows up-and-coming song spinners to take a chance and get up on the tables alongside veteran DJs. All you need to bring to participate are your records, CDs and controller. All formats of music are welcome as the fun gets starting right around 9.
A trifecta of talented locals will be gracing the stage of Portland House of Music and Events tonight for this week’s installment of Under The Influence. Under The Influence is a musical series which showcases Maine musicians’ original compositions alongside covers of acts and artists that have helped to influence their sound. Tonight Dave Gutter, Jeff Beam and Sara Hallie Richardson will be coming together for an evening of musical revelry featuring their own original tunes as well as inspired renditions of songs from such acts as Sufjan Stevens, Bee Gees, Grizzly Bear, Serge Gainsbourg and more. Things get underway right around 9 o’clock.
Bull Feeney’s acoustic Open Mic night continues local musician and lead vocalist of the Dapper Gents, Jacob McCurdy. Jacob will be playing and emceeing at this free event that gets geared up right around 9:30. Jacob invites everyone on to the stage to show off their musical talents and if you’ve really got some skills, you might even find yourself with a paying gig at Bull Feeney’s. So grab an instrument and get ready to show off your musical prowess this Tuesday night.
Check out another acoustic Open Mic hosted by The Run of the Mill in Saco this Tuesday evening. Beginning at 8 o’clock all musicians are welcome to join in on the fun during this free all-ages event.
